Summer baby

So, I guess the blog has sort of been on summer vacation.  We've been busy, and travelling, and playing outside, and haven't updated. It's hard to think of something worthy of blogging again after such a break, instead of anything monumental, we'll just post some pictures of what we've been up to. Soon I'll post the pictures from Emily's wedding and Amy's birthday pirate party in California.
These pictures are mostly from the Fourth of July.  We hung out at home and relaxed outside until evening, when we all rode our bikes to Ann Morrison park where the city shoots off its fireworks. Riding bikes was great. It would have been a pain to try to park and walk. On our bikes we got right to our spot (front and center!) and didn't have to worry about waiting for the crowd to clear to get home. The ride home was fun. We took the Greenbelt, and it was pitch dark and crowded with people walking and riding home. In our neighborhood we passed tons of people with fireworks and sparklers. It was all very fun.

We passed the time before the show blowing bubbles

Kaboom! The fireworks were great. We were so close little bits kept falling on us.

The show lasted a long time and the crowd was fun. They oohed and ahhhed and screamed when the fireworks were too low.

This is just a picture of my summer baby playing with a stick. Barefoot if she can get away with it.

Completely covered in watermelon. Sticky and gross.
But having a pretty awesome summer so far.
